Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has sought an explanation from the state government for challenging the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Supreme Court without informing him. He has directed the chief secretary to give an explanation. The fresh salvo from Raj Bhavan comes amidst the ongoing tussle between the Governor and state government on CAA.
While stating that the conflict with State was not personal, the governor reiterated that the petition was illegal. He made it clear that he would not remain a mute spectator as the administrative head of the state.
