Says BJP Is Promoting A Film Instead Of Arranging Rehabilitation

New Delhi: Talking about the controversy surrounding the film The Kashmir Files, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday in an interview with Times Now Navbharat said that after being in governance at the Centre for eight years, BJP was promoting a film instead of arranging rehabilitation for those who were forced to leave Jammu & Kashmir.

Responding to BJP’s demand to declare the film tax-free, Kejriwal, during the budget session of Delhi assembly, had said the film should instead be uploaded on YouTube so that everyone could watch it for free. He had added that while some people were minting money in the name of the agony faced by Kashmiri Pandits, BJP functionaries were putting up posters of the film.

“This has been presented in a wrong way. A very big injustice has been done to Kashmiri Hindus. It was a very big tragedy,” Kejriwal said in his interview to Navika Kumar, group editor, Times Network and editor-in-chief, Times Now Navbharat.

Kejriwal said it had been around 32 years since Kashmiri Pandits had to leave their homes behind and many lost their lives and any sensitive government should have got them justice. “Arrangements should have been made to rehabilitate all those who were compelled to leave Kashmir. Land should have been made available there and a policy should have been made,” he added.
