New Delhi: The second day of the Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar began with a question hour and lengthy discussions on what they called the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Bypass Act. One of the farmers was designated agricultural minister, who took the questions being asked by the others.
Unlike the first day when there was confusion on entry of journalists, a stage had been erected and there was a separate media gallery on Friday, just like Parliament. The proceedings began with the protesters throwing questions at the agricultural minister, who eventually resigned at the end of the question hour. The farmers said the session was conducted in this manner to mock Parliament, since proper discussions weren’t held or flaws were admitted for the three farm laws.
