Mumbai: Team India head coach Ravi Shastri feels former India World Cup and World T20 winning-captain MS Dhoni will be a great addition to the camp as Virat Kohli and Co. gear up for the upcoming 2021 ICC T20 World Cup next month.
“The team couldn’t have asked for anything better. The BCCI has thought this out extremely well and put the plans in place. Having MS Dhoni in the dressing-room and the dugout will be a huge shot in the arm for the boys. It’s a great move,” Shastri told TOI on Thursday.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah first spoke to the Indian team management about the idea of bringing MSD on board and called up the former India wicket-keeper-batsman personally to enquire if he would be open to the idea.
