The scientists also confirmed that both viruses have continued to show neck-to-neck transmission, with H1N1 maintaining a marginal upper hand since July.
"Of late, the positivity rate of swine flu has started to go down like Covid, but this declining trend needs to sustain for a period of time," said Varsha Potdar, senior scientist with the ICMR-NIV.
