Mumbai: The development of Joggers Park, a popular seaside jogging track, is credited to the veteran Oliver Andrade who was fondly called ‘Sir’ as he trained thousands of students of different schools in the locality in various sports between the 1960s and 1980s.
As civic polls draw closer, corporator Asif Zakaria, who is among Andrade’s students, moved the proposal to rename the park as ‘Sir Oliver Andrade Park’ with demands from Andrade’s ex-students and Bandra residents.
