Mumbai: The family of the woman, Carol Misquitta, had made such an allegation in a letter to the city police chief.
Commissioner Hemant Nagrale confirmed to TOIon Sunday that he has ordered an inquiry to see if there were any lapses on the part of officials of Santacruz police station where the family had lodged a complaint on January 26 — over a day after Carol had failed to return home.
