A senior official said, “The system is ready to begin the commercial run. We have completed all the work, barring some minor civil works at a few stations.”
The first phase spanning 20km is between Dahanukarwadi of Line 2A to Aarey of Line 7 (18 stations). Both these Metro lines are expected to reduce vehicular traffic by 25%.
