Parents need to understand their child’s mind and what they want to do and then create rules and schedules for them

For 18 months (and counting), children have dealt with the disruption of their daily lives, fear of Covid-19 contagion, and sometimes death in the family. With shifting to studying from home overnight to now switching back to school after nearly two years, it is imperative that we take care of the mental health of young children and help them navigate through these sudden changes. Today, parents have become key custodians of their children’s learning journey.

Hence, parents must be well-equipped to handle the mental stress their children might need to combat during the process of stepping into school post a global pandemic. They must check on what the children actually want and how they’re feeling about the situation.
