As the number of Covid-19 cases swells, every second case being reported in the city is coming from south Delhi.
An analysis of the district wise breakup of cases reveals that the maximum numbers have been coming from South and South East districts, which together form a large part of south Delhi. A fairly high number of cases has emerged in South West and New Delhi districts, parts of which also fall in south Delhi. Though equally dense in population, there are fewer cases in Central and North Delhi districts this time, a Delhi government official said.
Of the 3,705 active Covid cases on April 23, 888 were from South district alone, while 630 were from South East, said officials. South West and New Delhi districts had 482 and 337 cases, respectively.
