TELL ME STATS Your decisions will reflect on you

Tell Me Why retains the result screen from Life Is Strange and other narrative games where you are told how other players chose and what percentage of them made each choice. Which meant learning a frankly absurd 86 percent of people were willing to forgive this horrible, horrible woman. Maybe you’re all kinder than me, or maybe you’re just cowards.

It’s maybe fitting that a game about twins feels split in two. On the one hand, a dark thriller with supernatural horror. On the other, a warm, coming of age drama about identity and family. Both these games have potential, but slammed together, like two colliding trains, they just leave players picking through wreckage. There are good pieces to recover from the pile, but it can’t help feeling fractured.
