Frankie Hall showed she was on track to conquer her demons when she starts her road race campaign later this season, after taking the win in the second round of the Merlin Cycles Classic Series.
The 26-year-old has been making waves on the domestic time trial scene but wants success with her new road team Loughborough Lightning/TRG this term, with her main goal the Women’s CiCLE Classic.
Hall crashed just 800 metres into the Women’s CiCLE Classic in 2019, the last time her local event was run, and said she has some ‘demons to forget’ when the Women’s National Road Series starts on 27 June.
But with road racing making a slow return from lockdown, Hall showed her form in the second round of the Merlin Cycles Classic Time Trial Series on Sunday, staged by Beacon RCC in Worcestershire.
