Mercredi Bikes builds race-ready steel frames the traditional way.
"I was racing cyclo-cross and I wasn’t really satisfied with the bicycles I could find off the shelf because I’m like 1.66m,” says Belgian-born, London based Adeline O’Moreau of Mercredi. “The frames in my size were full of compromises like a shallow seat and head angle, not really the race bike I was after. So I decided to make one for myself.”
O’Moreau is a former creative who worked for Google and learned frame building at the Bicycle Academy in Somerset. She continues: “That had an incredibly positive impact on my riding. I started wondering why I never thought about getting a custom bike for myself.
