While he’s been out injured, Kerr McInroy has been doing just ‘fine’ – collecting the punishment payments from his team-mates

Taking Kerr Of Business

KERR McInroy is another talented young player from the Celtic Youth Academy who is aiming to follow in the footsteps of others who have reached the first team.

Unfortunately, Celtic fans will have to wait that bit longer to see the midfielder in action.

An injury sustained towards the end of the last campaign has kept the 18-year-old sidelined so far this season, but McInroy is delighted with his recovery and is now gearing up for an impactful second half of the campaign.

YOU’VE BEEN OUT INJURED FOR A WHILE NOW. HOW IS THE RECOVERY GOING?

I’ve still got a wee bit to go. I’m looking at January to be back playing, but I’m doing well just now, everything’s been going great and I’m feeling strong.

HOW SERIOUS WAS THE INJURY?

It was my cruciate so it’s a really bad one that every player would want to avoid. It’s the first injury I’ve really had playing football, so it’s been difficult to take. It was during a reserve game against Motherwell back in April. I knew it was bad when it happened, but even then, I still didn’t think it would be as serious as it was. There were a few tough days at the start, but I felt the sooner I got my head around it the better and I just pushed on from there. I started taking it week by week and it’s flown in since then.
