From being looked down upon to becoming a convention of sorts, tattoos have come a long way, not just in cricket but also across the globe. The sight of a cricketer flaunting his tattoo is pretty common in modern-day sport. Cricketers now flaunt their body art, which ranges from numbers in various languages to images of warriors to scriptures or names of their friends and family. Not only does it add to their personalities, but it also increases their brand value. So, just to spice things up a bit, we’ve curated an all-time XI of cricketers with tattoos on their body:

1. BRENDON MCCULLUM

Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has inked several tattoos on his body, especially on his upper arm. The first tattoo on his upper arm reads ‘CXXVI’, which is the symbol for his ODI Cap No. 126 while playing for the Blackcaps. The next tattoo reads ‘XLII’, which was his jersey number, 42, with the national team. Another tattoo is ‘CCXXIV’ characters, which symbolises McCullum’s maiden Test Cap number 224. McCullum has also inked a Silver Fern on his chest which symbolizes the mark of Kiwi Pride. He has also got a special wedding ring inked on his left ring finger, as ‘Bazz’ cannot wear his original wedding ring while playing the game.
