Sunrisers Hyderabad must work things out in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2023 season. With a few new faces and a fresh leader, SRH are a side that can cause problems for others. SRH parted ways with Kane Williamson and named South Africa’s Aiden Markram as skipper. The Proteas all-format player has brought promise and character to make things work. However, Markram has never led SA in T20Is or, for that matter, in the IPL, which is a new challenge. SRH roped in England’s Harry Brook for a whopping 13.25 crore in the IPL 2023 auction. His ability and form can help the side massively. Mayank Agarwal and Adil Rashid are other notable personnel this season. SRH finished 8th last season in the 10-team table, and the expectations will be big this time. SRH made interesting calls in the auction and assembled a squad that could pose a challenge. SRH’s main weapons bring character and a fine look, but the bench is a worry, especially when you look at the Indian players available. So a lot will depend on the regular players; their consistency could define SRH’s campaign. SRH, who we predicted earlier, will finish in the top half and have a presentable first-XI option on paper.
