Over the past few years, the number one ranking in Tests has fluctuated between teams constantly. In fact, literally every year we see a new team holding the Test mace. While that is good for international cricket as a whole, Team India would be hoping that they can sustain their terrific form and hold on to the number one Test ranking for as long as possible...
Team India has been in great form in the last couple of seasons, especially in the Test format. Under Virat Kohli, they have decimated all oppositions at home and even challenged South Africa in their own den pretty robustly. They are the number one ranked team currently in the ICC Test rankings and are clearly in a great zone.
The challenges in the coming few months, however, will really test this Indian team. They have to face England and Australia in their home turf and that is going to be a massive hurdle to cross.
