TGI: Darius, talk about your progression from the first OTA to now.
DS: Two worlds apart. I had no idea what I was doing when I first got here and I was so worried about impressing the coaches, teammates, and the organization. But slowly I got a grasp of the playbook and started learning what it meant to be a pro. Now I know how to study film, learn how to attack an opponent. Everything has slowed down.
TGI: Talk about your performance against the Jets.
DS: One, great throws from Daniel. He makes it easy, making a lot of good timing throws. Two, just continuing to work on my craft, continue to work on my routes, work on my hands, getting separation and even in tight windows making strong catches.
TGI: Some of the concerns about you coming out of college were your hands and limited route tree. Do you play with a chip on your shoulder to prove the doubters wrong?
DS: Every day man. I know the doubters felt I had bad hands and I can only run a vertical, but now you’re seeing that I have more to my game than that. I just want to keep getting better and show my teammates that I can be relied on.
TGI: Did it make you angry hearing those things?
