Musician Thenjiwe Makhushe explains how she is following her true calling

THERE is always that indescribable feeling when you listen to gospel music. Musician Thenjiwe Makhushe (30) has the ability to give that feeling through her gospel songs. She says she understood gospel music when she had to minister at a very young age, with singing always a part of her life while growing up, especially in church. Her late mother was a pastor and that was one of the reasons she wanted to sing to the Lord, and spread her voice all over the world.

GROWING UP WITH STRICT PARENTS

Thenjiwe says she was raised by the strictest parents. She explains her mother wouldn’t let her go anywhere except to her neighbour’s house because they were more like her family.
