Full Of Surprises

The six-part psychological drama Liar is proving to be compelling. With so many twists and turns and people harbouring secrets, it’s hard to tell who is telling the truth.

Having been on what seemed a lovely first date with single dad and renowned surgeon Andrew (Ioan Gruffudd), whose son she teaches at school, things turned nasty when Laura (Joanne Froggatt) made a terrible accusation about Andrew.

So what really happened? Is anyone who they appear to be and are there really two sides to every story? There are plenty more surprises to come!

“I read the first two scripts initially and found it so intriguing that I knew I wanted to do it,” says Joanne. “It was a real page turner. I was very much into the psychological drama of it all and I just thought it was a very interesting concept I hadn’t seen before – how you really don’t know who’s telling the truth. We find out during the course of the series but, it’s very hard to tell.
