She’s come a long way from her humble Jenny from the Block beginnings – for Jennifer Lopez, 2019 will always be etched in her memory as the year she became a bona fide Hollywood superstar, turned 50, and became engaged to the love of her life.

The actress and singer, who celebrated her birthday in July, has been lauded for her role in the crime caper Hustlers, and has even been on the receiving end of Oscar buzz.

“It’s been amazing!” she says of her year. “I’ve had incredibly wonderful years, but this one is extra special. I feel like I’ve been working toward something all my life and I didn’t know what it was, and maybe it was this year. Personally, I feel the most comfortable and most powerful I’ve ever felt.”
