She’s starred alongside Ricky Gervais in his hit show After Life and is a Taskmaster champion, but in the new Acorn series Whitstable Pearl, based on the popular novels, Kerry Godliman, 47, is finally taking on the lead role. Pearl is a local pub owner turned detective who gets drawn into a murder investigation.
What drew you to join the series?
When this landed in my inbox, I was over the moon. And then I read it and I was excited to play a lead character with so much drive and warmth and heart.
