The Singer Says She’s Learned to Love at Last

She’ll always be Jenny from the Block and she’s been offered six – yes, six! – rocks but now, finally, it seems Jennifer Lopez has found her perfect match.

Alex Rodriguez’ elaborate proposal, with a $1.5 million diamond no less, came as a surprise to the 49-year-old singer, who has only made it up the aisle three times, despite the above average number of proposals she has received.

J.Lo herself says she’s been the cause of many of her relationship failures, but thinks that she’s got things sorted this time around.

“For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down,” she says. “But it didn’t have to do with anyone else but me – it was about me figuring out me.”

Now that she’s planning her fourth wedding, pals of the star say her union to the retired New York Yankee (43) will be her biggest and blingiest yet as she celebrates finding her soulmate, which has come after years of self-discovery.

“Until you learn to love yourself, you can’t completely love someone else in the way that’s pure and true,” she tells. “Once you do that, you can have relationships that are based on love and respect, that are supportive and nourishing. There’s an evolution there that had to happen for me.”

And what an evolution it’s been. Jen’s relationship journey began with her first husband, Ojani Noa (44), a restaurateur. Their marriage, in 1997, lasted less than a year and turned nasty when he threatened to release a sex tape. Jen took him to court and successfully blocked the tape’s distribution.
