Meet the couples who trade cleaning jobs around the house for dirty nights

CHORE play
Sick of your partner never helping around the house? You’re not alone! Women do over an hour more housework and childcare every day than men, according to a nationwide survey. But some women claim they’ve found the solution – and it’s boosting their sex lives!

When US influencer Bri Dietz posted on Instagram that her husband Bobby can ‘get lucky’ in the bedroom by doing his share of the housework, it went viral. While Bri’s ‘choreplay’ has been criticised as unfeminist, a study discovered that couples who share household tasks do have more sex.

Researchers at Cornell University in the US found men who reported doing more than a third of the housework got busy between the sheets significantly more often than men in couples where the woman did 65% or more of the chores.

In an ideal world, partners would split housework equally. But sexpert Kate Taylor says, ‘If your partner occasionally needs prompting to pick up a vacuum cleaner, choreplay is far more fun. And it’s a lot less damaging than having a blazing row.’

But it isn’t just women who promise to get down and dirty if their partner rolls up their sleeves and does the dishes.

Two couples, including a man who got his wife to pull her weight around the house, tell Anna Roberts and Alley Einstein how choreplay is a win-win.

‘IT’S EMPOWERING USING SEXUALITY TO GET HIM TO DO HIS FAIR SHARE OF THE WORK’

Dance teacher Jane-Charlotte Brooker, 31, lives in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent, with her care worker partner George Cio-Banu, 37, and her five-year-old son from a previous relationship.
