Kirstie Allsopp from Channel 4’s Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas suggests you stick to what you know if you’re crafting or cooking with family this year. ‘It’s got to be within your comfort zone. So if there’s something you are familiar with or have experience of, enthuse them,’ she explains. ‘Don’t try to start something radically new, because it could end in tears. We all have to realise that we are limited with our patience and our resources this year. I think it’s important not to push ourselves too much. Everybody has done something that they’ve enjoyed and not done for years.’
