Mike Markle, 80, the elder brother of Meghan’s father, Thomas, has opened up about his relationship with his niece Meghan, 38, and reveals why her childhood may be to blame for her clashing with both royals and staff alike.
Speaking from his home in Palm Bay, Florida, Mike – who helped get Meghan an internship as a junior press officer at the US embassy in Argentina when she was 20 and considering a career in international relations – tells Woman, ‘Meghan has climbed socially and left us behind, that’s how I feel. I think that’s what happens when you’re underclass and trying to rise above the reality of your situation.’
