In fact, 32% of people** agree that ‘a cup of tea is the answer to every problem’ – and it’s a soothing solution that’s backed by science. ‘There’s emerging evidence that drinking black or green tea could aid relaxation and is associated with lower stress, dementia risk and cognitive decline,’ says Dr Carrie Ruxton of the Tea Advisory Panel. While none of us want to hear the words ‘stay home’ ever again, there’s no doubt that those months of lockdown brought some benefits. Brits came top for resilience during the pandemic in a study across several countries*, proving that at some point we got comfortable within our own four walls.
