Could the TV star’s latest weight gain be putting her health at risk all over again?
Birds of a Feather actress Pauline Quirke shocked the nation in 2011 when she lost an astonishing 8st in 12 months, dropping from a size 28 to a size 12 – but she’s been battling her weight ever since.
And when the 58-year-old stepped out recently in an all-black ensemble highlighting her noticeably bigger frame, it appeared she’d fallen back into old habits – triggering fears for her health once more.
A friend close to the star told Woman’s Own, ‘It’s no secret that Pauline’s put on weight recently. She’s not on her best form at the moment – she’s never at her best in the winter. She hates the short days and grey skies.’
But the actress is determined to shed the extra pounds, and has embarked on a mission to overhaul her eating and exercise habits.
Our source continues, ‘Pauline’s trying to plough her emotions into losing weight.
‘She’s been dieting recently, and has been telling her family they have to be disciplined with her and keep temptation at bay.’
