Readers Lynne Gifford and Llinos Roberts transformed their bathrooms with colour and bold prints.
Blue Belle
Lynne Gifford’s tired cream bathroom was stripped of its country style in favour of bold blues and industrial details.
‘We decided to rip out the bathroom and start again by adding a powerful shower and a bath with a shaped end for a more generous showering space,’ says Lynne.
Luckily, Lynne’s friend Marc is fantastic at DIY and agreed to do the work. He started by removing the old tiles and the bulky boxing around the pipework in the corner of the room.
‘When I saw how much better it looked without the boxing, I decided that I’d use the pipe as my inspiration and create an industrial-style room. Everyone thought I was mad but I knew it could work. I painted it grey to check I liked the look – I did!’
