Easy tech to stay in TOUCH

Staying at home is essential right now but, fortunately, there are ways to keep in touch. Regular check-ins with family and friends will give your day a welcome boost.

See and speak

While picking up the phone is one option, video calls can be better for feeling more connected. Not only can you see each other, you can also be doing something else at the same time as chatting, such as playing a board game ‘together’. You can even have lots of people on the same call.

Smart options

If you have a newer smartphone, it will have a facing camera for video calls, either using an app (see right) or if it’s an iPhone, FaceTime.

FaceTime is pre-installed free on Apple devices (iPads, Mac computers, iPod Touch) and works over a Wi-Fi connection. If you have friends abroad, they can call you without relying on data or call charges. You can also make Group FaceTime calls.
