The singer sparks concern after her conservatorship is finally lifted
BRITNEY IS FREE... BUT IS SHE OK?!

A jubilant Britney Spears was toasting to her freedom and “on cloud 9” after her 13-year conservatorship was terminated last week. The songstress headed out on a date night to celebrity spot WeHo at Catch in Los Angeles with fiance Sam Asghari, where she enjoyed her first glass of champagne in 14 years.

Days later she posted an impassioned video on her Instagram saying how she was “grateful honestly for each day... and being able to be independent... owning an ATM card, seeing cash for the first time”.

But while Britney has every reason to celebrate having her physical and financial freedom back, there are fears the star’s troubles may not be over.

Just hours after her night out with Sam, the 39-year-old was snapped looking downcast and covering her head while in the car with her fiance, before donning a balaclava.

Britney’s odd actions were reminiscent of her erratic behaviour back in 2008 before she was placed under the conservatorship.

And close friends say the mother-of-two is overwhelmed to be back in the public eye again after years of having her every move carefully controlled.

FEELING THE PRESSURE

“The pressure on Britney right now has increased tenfold,” says a longtime friend of her newfound freedom.

“The big fear is she’s been so under the thumb, she’s a sitting duck for anyone with predatory intentions.”
