The year of 2020 was not done with hapless Ellen DeGeneres when she was snapped out and about in Santa Barbara several times in December without her wedding ring.
After etching a shocking staff mistreatment scandal, catching COVID-19 and then being bashed in the press and by fans for not wearing a mask in public less than two weeks after she announced her diagnosis, the beleaguered talk show host is now having to fend off rampant rumours her marriage is over.
On each occasion Woman’s Day’s photographers snapped the 62-year-old running errands in her adopted posh beach hometown, she wasn’t wearing her wedding band – and her wife, Aussie actress Portia de Rossi, 47, wasn’t by her side either. “Ellen looked stressed,” says a local witness. “You used to see her and Portia out and about together all the time in Santa Barbara, usually together.

“People let them go about their business. Lately, Portia has been nowhere to be seen and Ellen goes out alone.”
