HOMESICK HUGH & DEB - AT WAR OVER NEW YORK

Feelings of resentment are building between Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-lee Furness, who are marooned in New York amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis that has hit the world.

According to sources, Deb, 64, is “devastated” that they didn’t leave for their native Australia before international travel became restrictive and dangerous – and she blames her husband for wanting to stay in the States.

“Deb has been wanting to move back to Sydney permanently for years, and the pandemic appeared to present them with the perfect opportunity,” says a source.

“New York was hit hard early, when the borders were still open and Qantas was still flying. She begged Hugh to pack up the family and go.

“They have a stunning house in Bondi sitting empty, so to her it makes absolutely no sense for the kids to be trapped in the eye of the storm in Manhattan. But Hugh, 51, was keen to stick it out, thinking, like a lot of people, that it would get sorted quickly.”
