Just weeks out from its release, things are heating up on the reboot

And just like that, the stars of Sex And The City are back – and it’s like they never left. But while Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are clearly delighted to be stepping back into their iconic roles, Kim Cattrall’s absence from the TV reboot is starkly obvious to fans.

Many are still hoping Kim could return to the Emmy-winning show. Last week it was reported that her character, Samantha Jones, is still alive and well in the fictional world of SATC, and the creators of the revival, And Just Like That, are doing everything they can to encourage Kim’s return. “It’s going to take a lot of money to lure Kim back, but as much as it pains everyone, the show really needs Sam,” an insider explains. “Carrie was always the lead, but Sam constantly stole the show.”

Kim shocked fans in 2017 when she said she’d “never been friends” with her SATC colleagues and two years later announced she’d never work on the franchise again.
