Hollywood’s A-list farewells the final Golden Girl
BETTY WHITE 1922 – 2021 ‘THE WORLD LOOKS DIFFERENT NOW'
So beloved was US national treasure Betty White that ahead of what would have been her 100th birthday on January 17, fans begged that she be protected by the National Guard and surrounded by bubble wrap, lest anything happen to her. But sadly, their hopes were dashed when the endearing TV icon died peacefully in her sleep at her California home from natural causes on December 31, just three weeks shy of the major milestone.

While the loss has hit Hollywood and fans hard, it was indeed a life well lived.

“I wouldn’t dare give myself advice – I’m too old!” the actress joked in her final interview just weeks before she passed. “But seriously, the advice I’d give anyone at any age: Taste every moment. Don’t take anything for granted.”

Betty sure didn’t.

LUCKY LADY

Celebrating more than 80 years in showbiz, she stayed firmly in the spotlight right until the end. “My friends say, ‘Betty, you’ve got to slow down. You can’t – you know, this isn’t good for you.’ But I’m blessed with good health and energy. And I love what I’m doing. Why not?” she said.
