When Julia Roberts agreed to star in upcoming rom-com Ticket To Paradise, she did so for two reasons – the first was to get in front the camera with her favourite co-star, George Clooney, and the second was because it was being filmed in Australia.
Sources close to the Oscar winner reveal Julia was “in desperate need of a break from Hollywood – it’s relentless and the idea of spending a few months in the sun working with George was irresistible”.
And as Woman’s Day’s exclusive photos show, she’s thrown herself into life on the Gold Coast, which is serving as base camp for the film about a divorced couple who travel to Bali to stop their daughter getting married.
The 54-year-old was spotted looking like a local as she took a long walk on the beach, where she even ran into her longtime friend, Kiwi film producer Tim Bevan, who was born in Queenstown.
