The bride -to-be sure has a lot on her plate!
Exactly one month before her big royal wedding, Meghan Markle turned heads when she joined fiancé Prince Harry at the Commonwealth Youth Forum in London. The next day, she was on his arm at a women’s empowerment reception, making it clear at both events that gay rights and gender equality are top of her and the prince’s priority list when it comes to charity work.
The fact Meghan, 36, is already so heavily involved in 33-year-old Harry’s affairs is completely unprecedented, with royal fiancées typically not invited to official engagements, especially those tied to political events such as the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Her attendance suggests the Windsor clan has a lot of faith in using the former actress as an ambassador – and there are already suggestions she and Harry will be visiting New Zealand in October.
But it’s not all plain sailing as Meghan prepares for her big day on May 19. Last week, her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr slammed the duchessin-waiting for putting on an act and trying to reinvent herself as the new Princess Diana.
