Mark Wahlberg’s secret to a harmonious marriage is simple. He tells Woman’s Day, “I work hard to show Rhea how much I love and support her, and what she does to hold our home life together.”

It may seem obvious, but in the public pressure cooker of Hollywood, it’s this dedication to teamwork that has kept the couple strong since they tied the knot in 2009. And their fitness regimes don’t hurt either!

“It always feels good to look good,” says Mark, with Rhea adding, “We also want to be around a long time for our kids, so we put in the work!”

The Transformers actor, 47, and the 40-year-old former model – who are parents to Ella, 14, Michael, 12, Brendan, nine, and Grace, eight – let us in on their loving relationship.

What is the secret to a successful marriage in Hollywood?

Mark: Find the right person who’ll be your partner in everything!

Rhea: Communication is key and being on the same page with raising your kids. Also, making time for just the two of you.

Describe an ideal date night.

Rhea: For me, it’s kids in bed early, watching a movie or some bad, mindless TV, and just talking and laughing.

Mark: Perfect!
