She wants her special day to be the best!
When Buckingham Palace announced the engagement of Princess Eugenie and her longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, revealing the happy couple will marry just months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in May, it was a cause for celebration – two royal weddings in one year!
But behind palace doors, Woman’s Day hears a not-soregal rumble is heating up, with Eugenie, 27, determined to pull out all the stops to ensure her nuptials are more lavish and spectacular than those of her cousin and his famous fiancée.
“That’s why she’s so excited about getting married after them,” a palace insider reveals, hinting that the ceremony will happen in October. “She’ll be a guest at Harry’s wedding and will take notes so that everything on her big day is even bigger and better. Her aim is to make it the most star-studded wedding the world has ever seen.”
And her parents, Prince Andrew, 57, and the Duchess of York, 58, are encouraging their youngest daughter all the way, having long pushed for Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice, 29, to take on more prominent roles in the royal family and establish themselves on the world stage.
Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have reportedly opted for a traditional, classically beautiful ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle because they’re aware some snooty folks look down on the bride’s humble roots and acting career.
