Going ga-ga in Goa!

Elsa Joel
4 Days and Four Nights

Landing in Dabolim airport, walking to the exit with a long, exciting schedule in mind, expectations were like any other journey until I saw my name on a name placard held by a man in a white tee and black shorts. I don’t know why and how, but for a long time I’ve been thinking that someday somebody must await me in this manner. How important I felt! With an acknowledgement spiced up by a smile, he drove us to Arambol as though we were on a race track. My nausea disappeared on seeing two bulls in fight mode on the road. The disappointed expression my fellow traveller Navina Joseph, also my bosom buddy, gave away was indeed priceless as the driver was quick enough to turn around before she could click. Unsure if it was driving through a few wide roads, narrow streets, uphill, downhill or the nonstop chatting on the early morning flight that made us feel dizzy and tired, we decided to take a power nap.
