Road Trips With Children

As India goes in the unlock mode post the second wave of the Covid pandemic, the well-heeled and the upper middle class is looking out for an opportunity to break free from the monotony of indoor life and explore new places in order to soothe their travel starved souls.

For a safer, smoother and comfortable travel experience, road trips are being preferred by both the solo and group travellers.

Apart from the fact that road tripping does wonders towards creating positive lifelong memories and bringing families closer together, it is also a fantastic learning experience for children and there are so many valid reasons for it.

Road trips offer its passengers a kaleidoscope experience of changing weather, terrain and, of course, cultures. For young school going children it gives them a scope to practically observe and learn so many things that they have only studied about in their textbooks.

Ask Prashanth and Sunita, a quintessential IT couple based out of Delhi, who will tell you how their regular road sojourns have always contributed to the learning arc of their 9-year-old daughter, Megha.

They would make impromptu stops during their trips to observe the birds in a paddy field, examine an unusual looking rock or sometimes just to soak their feet in a little freshwater pond.
