That roaming the North-East was a decades-long dream come true for me? That it would not have happened on a motorbike if my son and daughter-in-law had not also joined in the fun in their Jeep along with close friend Nitin? That they plan to bring out a coffee-table book immortalising this 73-year-old nutcase who cannot get enough of his beloved Triumph Tiger superbike? The fun began on day one itself with cops waving us down on the Expressway near Aurangabad, for two-wheelers are not allowed on it! Fortunately, they took a lenient view and let us off without a hefty fine.
The following two days to Jabalpur and Varanasi were pure bliss, riding on a super-smooth, undulating double carriageway through Tiger Country and green fields.
