The tribal state of Chhattisgarh is scripting a new successs tory, achieving ne w milestones everyday under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. With this vision and his actions, Baghel is making Chhattisgarh reach new heights every day. Here is a look at some of the initiatives of the Baghel government to reach out to every citizen of the state.
Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana
The Bhupesh Baghel government in Chhattisgarh has implemented the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana successfully to ensure adequate investment in the agriculture sector and provide relief in the cost of cultivation through agriculture input assistance to farmers.
With the launch of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana three years ago, a massive and generous subsidy worth more than Rs 16,415 crore has already been provided to the farmers till date, which indeed is the Baghel government’s greatest step towards reforming Chhattisgarh’s entire agri sector.
The scheme has also bridged the gap in farmers’ income as a result of their hard work and the minimum support price they formerly used to get for their yield. The pre-existing loans of the farmers were completely waived off to unburden their debt.
The Chhattisgarh government initiated it with the intention of boosting crop yield in the state on 21 May 2020, the death anniversary of the late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. As part of this programme, the Chhattisgarh government remitted Rs 18,208 crores as agricultural input subsidies to the bank accounts of roughly 23,23 lakh farmers. The CM Bhupesh Baghel also made a number of significant moves in the past four and half years that have benefited farmers.
