Located in Greater Kailash, New Delhi, Nuo is a 27-key urban hospitality project, which is the first in a series of small urban hotels by jüSTa Hotels and Resorts. The hotel aims to fulfil the requirements of an urban hotel in the most economical way possible. Principal Architect Akshat Bhatt explains, "Justa Nuo was a unique project as it presented an opportunity to reinvent hospitality design post the global pandemic. We realised that while it was important to provide a safe, hygienic, and efficient space for urban travellers, it was also necessary to create a holistic environment and expand the brief programmatically so that the hotel stays relevant in changing scenarios."
Talking about the client's requirements, he further elaborates, "While the client's brief was to create a metropolitan hotel in the heart of New Delhi, a collaborative discussion led to the formulation of a larger program that not only optimised available space for private rooms but also included a vibrant social sphere that is open to all, making the most of the property."
FIRST GLANCE
Talking about the design concept, Bhatt states, "At Justa Nuo, there was also a requirement to set a recognisable identity that could be easily replicated in upcoming urban hotels by jüSTa Hotels and Resorts at different urban centres. This resulted in a scheme where the shared spaces create a universal appeal with neutral tones of black and grey, giving rise to a progressive aesthetic."
