The global manufacturing landscape is evolving rapidly, spurred by technological innovations and a growing emphasis on sustainability. As automation, AI, and digitalisation reshape manufacturing, companies are creating more innovative, efficient processes that enhance productivity while minimising environmental impact. In tandem with these advancements, the industry is increasingly recognising the need for sustainable practices to address critical issues such as climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation. By embracing sustainable manufacturing, businesses are not only reducing their ecological footprint but also driving long-term profitability and resilience.
The manufacturing industry is continuously evolving, driven by innovation and technological advancements. The 12th Manufacturing Today Conference & Awards 2024 highlighted this spirit of innovation by facilitating knowledge sharing and recognising companies that excelled in sustainable practices and efficient processes this year.
Setting the tone for the 12th edition was Sujatha Vishnuraj, Editor of Manufacturing Today. She spoke about how the Manufacturing Today brand has evolved and improved over the years. She encapsulated the idea of capturing the true essence of manufacturing to mark the 12th anniversary of this award. “Our goal was to embody the true essence of manufacturing, starting with redesigning our logo. We consulted with industry peers to understand what symbolises manufacturing for them, and the feedback was remarkable, with even some hand-drawn symbols submitted. We synthesised these insights to create a distinctive symbol that captures the core of the manufacturing sector.” The audience cheered and applauded as the new logo for the Manufacturing Today Conference & Awards was unveiled.
