As part of ADIPEC’s commitment to reducing its carbon emissions, carbon credits equivalent to a set portion of the emissions produced by ADIPEC 2023 were purchased through the UNFCCC Carbon Offset Platform for credits in two projects in India.
The projects, one in the city of Hazira and the other in the village of Jegurupadu, work to support the global transition from coal reliance to less emissions-intensive natural gas, as part of the 'fossil fuel switch' that the energy transition requires.
The projects help in the conservation of depleting fossil fuels while also avoiding the intense carbon emissions of coal-fuelled power plants.
