The iris, also known as the "lily of Florence," has been an emblem for the city since the 11th century. While the semi-transparent resin's various shades of purple and white are striking alone, the complementary brass trim in rose gold plating is an intrinsic aspect to the fountain pen or rollerball's aesthetic appeal. Both fountain pen and rollerball versions have the Visconti Hook Safe Lock capping mechanism and are packaged in a matching purple presentation box. The double-reservoir power-filling fountain pen has an 18 karat rose gold Visconti nib in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, or 1.1 mm stub. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Iris Garden collection is limited to 388 editions worldwide.
MSRP: $1,295 fountain pen, $1,095 rollerball

Germany's Waldmann is proud to introduce its second ever North American exclusive fountain pen: the Waldmann Tango Imagination Sapphire. The body features beautiful, handcrafted guilloche line engraving along the barrel and cap, which is then meticulously lacquered in a striking sapphire, giving the pen shades of both blue and purple as light refracts along it. A clear protective lacquer protects the delicate guilloche engraving on this sterling silver fountain pen. The rhodium-plated accents lend the pen sophistication. The cartridge/converter-filling fountain pen has a bicolor stainless steel or 18 karat gold nib in extra-fine, fine, medium, or broad, and a rollerball version is also available. The Waldmann Tango Imagination Sapphire is limited to 200 individually numbered pieces.
MSRP: $600 18 karat gold nib; $450 stainless steel nib or rollerball
