EMERGENCE OF A BATTING SENSATION

In the recently concluded third test between India and England in men's cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal thoroughly dominated the English bowling attack as he went on to score a magnificent 214 not out with 14 fours and 12 sixes.

With twelve sixes in the scintillating yet sublime innings, Jaiswal equaled the world record for most sixes in a test innings. Wasim Akram, the former pace bowling maestro, also cracked 12 sixes in a test match against Zimbabwe, in 1996.

A Prolific Scorer

With his unbeaten knock of 214, the brilliant left-handed batsman also achieved the coveted feat of becoming the third Indian cricketer after Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli to score double centuries in consecutive test matches. In the second test of the ongoing IndiaEngland five test match test series, Jaiswal scored 209 from 290 balls, in the first innings. He is now the only Indian to score two double centuries against England in tests.

Till now, the 22-year-old has scored 971 runs in only eight tests, with a more than impressive average of 69.35 and his recent batting prowess against England is showing ample indication of him emerging as a future batting legend for India. His amazing six hitting frequency during the ongoing India-England test series in men's cricket has made him the first player in 147-year-old history of test cricket to hit 20 or more sixes in a series. He has already hit 23 sixes in the ongoing IndiaEngland test series, with one more test to go.
