ABHISHEK BANERJEE has donned multiple hats when it comes to being a part of the entertainment world. The talented actor rose to fame with his stints in Paatal Lok and Stree. An ambitious individual who has always had his heart set on the art of acting and pursued it with passion has found opportunities around every corner and made the best of them. Abhishek, who is known today for his excellent comic timing, started his journey initially in theatre in Delhi. He looks back at those days with fond remembrance and gives a pat on the back for having taken those out-of-the-box decisions because anything ordinary always seemed boring to him. The actor says, “I am proud of my old self, because whatever I am today is because of him. I made a lot of out-of-the-box decisions in my twenties, and that continues. Whenever I start taking any mundane or boring decisions in life, I tell myself, “Yaar tu aise pehle nahi karta tha. Come on, do something different. I think that trait is still teaching me.”
Abhishek, like any other aspiring actor wanting his own piece of sky, kept on taking every opportunity that came his way. Nothing was deemed too small or too big; he only hustled and eventually started his own casting company named Casting Bay, which he established in 2017 with his friend Anmol Ahuja. One look at his steady graph and you see the stellar lineup of films he’s done casting for, namely The Dirty Picture, No One Killed Jessica, Gabbar Is Back, Ok Jaanu, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Secret Superstar and Kalank, to name a few.
