FOOTBALL legend Brett Favre fears damning text messages linking him to a $77 million welfare fraud case in Mississippi will force him to trade his place in the NFL’s Hall of Fame for a state prison cell, sources snitch.

Recently exposed messages suggest the ex-Green Bay Packer quarterback huddled up with former Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant to direct at least $5 million in public funds to the University of Southern Mississippi — the retired jock’s alma mater — where it was put into play for a new volleyball center.

At the time, Favre’s daughter Breleigh, 23, was a member of the college’s volleyball team.

However, authorities say the cash should have been spent on the poor!
